JOHN AFZAL

John was born and raised in Greater Manchester and went on to train at Bretton Hall. Theatre credits include:  Macbeth (Tara Arts); East is East (Bolton Octagon); Emil and the Detectives (Red Earth Theatre).  New writing theatre credits include: Not in My Name (Theatre Veritae); A Many Splendored Thing (In The Red Theatre); Silent Anger (Reveal Theatre); Fly Away Peter (Action Transport Theatre); The Garden of Dreams (Live Theatre); Beneath the Banyan Tree (Theatre Hullabaloo); Merlin and the Enchanted Mirror (Lawrence Batley Theatre) and Land of Lights (Oily Cart).  Radio includes: Colin the Asylum Seeker, Car Washed Lovers and No Big Difference, all for BBC Radio. Television and film include: Hugo Funderburk, A Bunch of Idiots and Crimewatch Solved. As the son of an immigrant, John is delighted to be part of the 2016 cast of To Walk in Your Shoes.
